Our Fueling Process & Technology

What makes AMP’s Technology different from our competitors is the fact there is no methodology for the driver to enter any data. The handheld is a laser scanner only not a handheld computer. The table tells the driver the order in which to run his route. They cannot change the order of the accounts or enter any data whatsoever. The driver can only pump fuel if an authorized barcode is scanned. Nothing can be manually entered.

Fuel Tracking Controller

The driver/fueler enters the YARD ID on their tablet to activate the Fuel Tracking Controller, (FTC). Only vehicles associated with that YARD ID will receive fuel at that time. The driver/fueler has four (4) minutes to begin the fueling process or the FTC will timeout. Once the timeout feature is activated the driver/fueler must re-enter the YARD ID on the tablet.

Next the driver/fueler selects the type of fuel they are going to deliver. This prevents the driver/fueler from putting the wrong product in the customers fuel tank.  The driver/fueler scans the barcode above the customers fuel tank. The information is sent wireless back to the FTC for validation.

Fuel Tracking Controller

Once the FTC validates the barcode scanned the FTC will open the correct solenoid and turn on the proper pumping system. When the vehicle is full the automatic shut-off in the nozzle activates which stops the flow of fuel. A pulsar in the meter sees there are no more gallons being pumped and sends the total gallons for that barcode to the FTC where it is stored under the correct customer number to enable a ticket to be printed and fuel reports and invoices are created.

When the driver/fueler finishes all the customers on their route they send the fueling data through the cloud where fuel reports and invoices are created. They are then posted to our website for our customers to view at their convenience. We can also send delivery tickets, invoices and fuel reports to an email address automatically if requested.
